The project was realised thanks to contributions to renovation projects under the Federal Covid-19 Culture Law.
The professional association DANZAsia has been created on the initiative of Filippo Armati in the Canton of Ticino in 2017. The association brings together the main contemporary dance companies, choreographers and professional dancers in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland and aims to promote dance and dance-related activities.
The association intends to improve working conditions, to professionalise activities in the dance sector, and to create appropriate spaces for research, practice and production so to offer creators and young creators the appropriate tools to develop the necessary structures to carry out their work.
DANZAsia aims at being the point of reference for contemporary dance in the region and to actively contribute in cooperation with other cantonal realities and associations in the interaction with institutions, and in the coordination of activities, so to involve professionals in the region and raise media and public awareness.
The association also intends to promote activities for the development and coordination of dance in cooperation with other organisations and structures of contemporary dance at regional, national and international level.
DANZAsia is non-profit organization, which participates in crowfounding. It gladly accepts donations from people who wish to support and strengthen the contemporary dance in Italian-speaking Switzerland and worldwide.
The 2022-24 steering committee is composed of Lorena Dozio (choreographer and artistic director of the Crile association), Katja Vaghi (dance researcher) and Claudio Prati (artistic co-director of the AiEP company and director).
SSST is a nonprofit association. Since its founding in 1927, it has been committed to the promotion, documentation and scientific research of Swiss artistic production in the performing arts. SSST also aims to promote dialogue between researchers, artists and audiences in the various language regions of the country and across national borders.
Since 1957, SSST has annually awarded the Hans Reinhart Ring to a prominent personality of the Swiss theater scene. With its strong symbolic value, this ring represents the country's highest recognition in the performing arts.
In parallel, the SSST documents the artistic journey of the awarded personality in a volume of its series "MIMOS - Swiss Yearbook of the Performing Arts." This richly illustrated publication contains contributions in German, French, Italian and English and is aimed at specialists as well as an interested public.

As a professional association, Danse Suisse represents the interests of professional dancers, choreographers, dance educators, dance mediators, as well as those who perform management tasks in professional stage dance or are involved in administrative and organizational work in all matters of training and further education, professional recognition, professional practice, retraining and social security.
Danse Suisse is the professional organization for the 2009 created professional education as a stage dancer with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (BühnentänzerIn EFZ). Danse Suisse is committed at various levels to good dance training and promotes young artists in this art form through its own measures.
To this end, the professional association seeks collaboration with all relevant public authorities, associations in other artistic fields, with the umbrella organizations Suisseculture and Suisseculture sociale, with private institutions and other dance-related organizations such as the Réseau danse suisse - Reso.
SAPA collects and makes available to the public documents and objects of historical significance to the performing arts in Switzerland. The Foundation aims to preserve the traces of these ephemeral and complex arts in order to pass them on to future generations.
The SAPA Foundation collects, documents, archives and promotes works in the field of the performing arts (dance, theatre, performance) that have been produced in Switzerland, are related to Switzerland or are significant for Switzerland. All these documents form the Helvetica of the Performing Arts.

The Évidanse project brings together eight performance organizers and one dance promotion association in the Jura region. In a complementary AND concordant way, together they build a program of dance performances. UDP, "Unity Dance Principals" Association, is newly founded organisation located in Zurich, Switzerland. UDP was created by dancers with dancers in mind. Our aim is to support, improve and promote the training, education and production conditions for the professional dance scene in Switzerland and abroad. UDP engages in supporting the dancers being responsive within the ever-growing demands they encounter during their professional career.
Founded in 1986, AVDC is the professional association of contemporary dance in the Vaud. Headquartered at Arsenic - Center for Contemporary Scenic Art in Lausanne, it develops various projects that respond to the needs and actuality of the environment, is committed to dancers, choreographers, performers, company administrators, mediators, programmers and dance-loving audiences.
Offering workshops, one-on-one interviews and thematic exchange spaces, AVDC accompanies and advises professionals in the choreographic field. It publishes timely essays and has created practical "kit" tools for structuring artistic activity.
The Swiss Association of Stage Artists SBKV was founded in 1920. TASI, Teatri Associati della Scena Indipendente, was founded in 1987 with the aim of safeguarding and promoting the interests of its members in the artistic, ideal, social, political and material fields and supporting the culture of independent theater creation in Italian-speaking Switzerland in its many forms.
On November 23, 2020, the merger between SBKV and the Ticino partner association TASI was approved by the Assembly of Delegates to form the new professional association SzeneSchweiz - ScèneSuisse - ScenaSvizzera.
Formed in 2018 through the merger of ACT and KTV ATP, t. is the association of those who work professionally in the independent theater scene. As a professional and trade association, it is active nationally, networked internationally, and anchored in the regions through ten regional groups. t. encourages heterogeneity in theater and promotes independent artistic production. Through collaboration with Suisseculture and various partners, it represents the interests of the performing arts and is committed to improving the working conditions of independent theater. t. offers more than 1,700 members throughout Switzerland numerous services, advice and facilities, and networks its members through the Swiss Performance Exchange.
Through a singular process, the Swiss dance scene has joined forces since 2002 to fight for better conditions and social recognition of dance as an artistic discipline. Founded in 2006, Reso aims to strengthen the national coordination of the encouragement of dance as an artistic discipline thus giving important development impulses. Since 2014, the association has been recognized as a nonprofit organization.
